THIS IS FRESH BERRIES THAT WE SAVED WITH HONEY! We have long dreamed of finding a way to keep berries as summer. I didn’t want to cook compotes or jams from the berries, dry them “in pebbles” and even freeze them. All these processing methods have a lot of disadvantages: the aroma and natural taste of the berry, its structure and vitamins are lost.
Once we decided to conduct an experiment. We tried to soak fresh whole berries with honey, and then dry them without any preliminary heat treatment. The result was just amazing! They retained their magical fresh taste and aroma and turned into soft honey sweets. Our homemade candied fruits turned out to be not so cloyingly sweet as the store ones. They have not a drop of sugar, no dyes or preservatives. BERRY AND HONEY ONLY!
